Passengers flying Delta Air Lines’ Delta One will soon start receiving a brand-new luxury amenity kit designed by the Italian luxury fashion house – Missoni. This move is part of the airline’s recent investment in improving the passenger experience while also increasing its network offerings.
The exclusive kit
The luxury kit soon to be introduced as part of the Delta One experience will be exclusively made by Missoni for Delta Air Lines, thereby elevating the travel experience for the carrier’s premium passengers. The kit will feature Missoni’s signature zigzag texture and patterns, both inside and outside the kit, along with a color palette that goes well with the sky outside.
The new amenity kit will be launched on all Delta flights (featuring Delta One) operating to Paris and Italy in mid-July. It will then be launched worldwide across all Delta One routes in September this year.
The kit will consist of Grown Alchemist skin care products, a bamboo toothbrush with toothpaste, an eye mask, ear plugs, socks, and a pen.
In the press release, the Creative Director of Missoni – Alberto Caliri stated,
“The Missoni amenity kits have been meticulously designed, embodying a timeless declaration of elegance and a profound connection with the surrounding world”
Not just the kit
The partnership with Missoni goes beyond the amenity kit. Delta and Missoni have also collaborated on the design of the airline’s new Delta One Lounge, which will open at New York-JFK on June 26th. The lounge will feature Missoni’s home collection and other luxury elements.
Delta’s VP – Brand Experience Design stated,
“The Missoni-designed amenity kits, along with unique design elements that will be featured in our Delta One Lounge at JFK, will offer a distinct, high-end enhancement to our most premium spaces.”
