Textron Aviation is the parent company of Cessna, Beechcraft, and Hawker Aircraft. Formed in March 2014 as a business unit of the conglomerate Textron, it sells Cessna and Beechcraft-branded aircraft and provides support to existing Hawker aircraft through its service centers.

In March 2014, Textron acquired Beech Holdings for $1.4 billion and combined it with its existing Cessna subsidiary to form Textron Aviation. Cessna’s CEO, Scott Ernest, became the first CEO of Textron Aviation. The company recorded low revenue in the following years due to slow sales of both commercial and military turboprop aircraft.

Textron Aviation also produces the Beechcraft AT-6 light attack variant and the T-6 Texan II trainer aircraft. While Hawker aircraft are not produced, Textron Aviation provides parts and maintenance support to the existing Hawker fleet through its worldwide service centers. By 2015, the companies under the umbrella of Textron Aviation have delivered over a quarter million aircraft in over 170 countries, exceeding 100 million flight hours.
