Dubai-based Emirates has splashed the cash in the French capital with a $950,000 new lounge at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG). The airline, which finally unveiled its hotly anticipated new premium lounge, will use an exclusive 925 square meters of space and welcomed its first round of premium guests this week. The airline has invested more than AE 3.5 million ($950,000) in the space, which aims to take its First, Business, and Emirates Skywards premium members to a new level of luxury and comfort, even before they leave the ground.

The new lounge in Terminal 2C offers complimentary and impeccable runway views. It can accommodate 165 guests. Inside, passengers can relax with its modern design, comfortable chairs and sofa, and enhanced shower facilities featuring YOVA products.

Updated food and drinks on offer
A range of modern food and beverages, some French flair, and local dishes and delicacies will be offered. Examples could include beef drizzled with bĂ©arnaise sauce, poached cod fillet with vierge sauce, delicious cheese board spreads, and decadent desserts. Passengers can also tipple on premium spirits and liqueurs and a growing variety of French wines from some of the country’s most famous regions, such as Bordeaux. Those looking to celebrate with bubbles can ‘cheer’ with the finest Moet & Chandon champagne range.
Paris is just one of 39 of the airline’s exclusive you, seven alone in Dubai and another 32 at other international destinations. Emirates’ commitment to the French city has opened just before the upcoming Olympic and Paralympic games, starting on July 26. They are sure to expect increased demand, both in the sky and on the ground.
The Paris CDG lounge will have dedicated spaces for dining, lounging, and relaxation and will cater to the three daily Airbus A380 flights the airline operates to Paris. Emirates first started services to Paris Charles de Gaulle in 1992. Emirates Paris operations are currently:

Emirates now boasts several other French services, including daily services to Nice (Airbus A380) and Lyon (Boeing 777 – which will change to the Airbus A350 from December 1). From France, Emirates passengers can travel directly to Dubai and 130 other destinations, including Africa, Asia, Australasia, and the rest of the Middle East.
