Until two years ago, only 2% of the long-haul flights of TAP Portugal didn’t use the Airbusneo. It was TAP Airlines that had the world’s first makeshift A330neo freighter. TAP transformed two of its A330neo into the freighter version. Most of TAP Portugal’s A330neo have completed more than 2000 cycles.

Condor’s first flight of its A330neo took place around the beginning of last year as it landed at the JFK airport. On the occasion of the historic flight, Mikko Turtiainen, Director of Sales in The Americas for Condor Airlines commented:

“We are thrilled that New York/JFK is our first North American gateway to receive our next-generation A330neo aircraft, which is truly a game-changer for Condor and for transatlantic travel…The response to the A330neo by the first guests to fly with us has been overwhelmingly positive, and we can’t wait to have more Americans experience this modern, stylish, and sustainable aircraft as we roll out more of our A330neo fleet across North America.”

Ever since, the airline has expanded its fleet of the A330neo to 16. Journalists from the Simple Flying team reviewed the business class flight on Condor’s A330neo and reported it as one of the best experiences ever.
