Summary
- LATAM Pass members can earn Miles by booking accommodation through booking.com – 3 Miles per $1 spent.
- Two LATAM credit cards offer up to 4 Miles per $1 spent, plus welcome bonuses.
- LATAM Pass members can earn Miles by flying with LATAM and partner airlines, enjoying elite benefits.
LATAM’s loyalty program is called LATAM Pass. One of the primary ways for its members to earn Miles is, of course, by flying with
LATAM Airline Group
or one of its partner airlines. However, what other options do LATAM Pass members have for earning Miles without leaving the ground?
Earning Miles through hotel bookings with booking.com
The accommodation giant is one of the world’s largest online travel agencies, offering around 3.4 million properties around the world, including more than 475,000 hotels and 2.9 million homes and apartments. LATAM Pass members can now earn three Miles for every $1 spent on stays booked through booking.com.

In order to benefit from the offer, LATAM Pass members just need to provide their membership details during or after booking. Miles are awarded at least 64 days after the end of the stay.
Earning Miles with LATAM’s credit cards
LATAM offers two credit cards – LATAM Airlines Mastercard and LATAM Airlines World Elite Mastercard. Depending on the purchase being made and the card being used, the amount of Miles earned can reach up to four Miles per $1 spent:
-
LATAM Airlines Mastercard
- LATAM purchases – 3 Miles
- Restaurants – 2 Miles
- Rideshares, taxis, and public transport – 2 Miles
- Everything else – 1 Mile

LATAM Airlines Mastercard
The LATAM Mastercard allows travelers to boos their LATAM Pass balance and access exclusive benefits without an annual fee.
-
LATAM World Elite Mastercard
- LATAM purchases – 4 Miles
- Restaurants – 3 Miles
- Rideshares, taxis, and public transport – 3 Miles
- Everything else – 1 Mile

The card offers LATAM Airlines Lounge passes, additional earning opportunities, cabin upgrades, more Qualifying Points, and other premium benefits.
Both credit cards also offer a welcome bonus for new sign-ups – 15,000 Miles for the LATAM Airlines Mastercard and 40,000 Miles for the LATAM Airlines World Elite Mastercard.
Accommodation bookings through booking.com and LATAM’s two credit cards (LATAM Airlines Mastercard and LATAM Airlines World Elite Mastercard) are two ways in which LATAM Pass members can earn Miles without leaving the ground, but what about when it comes to flying?
Earning LATAM Pass Miles by flying
Of course, flying with LATAM offers the most lucrative rewards for LATAM Pass members. However, the airline has also teamed up with various carriers around the world, enabling LATAM Pass members to earn Miles and enjoy selected benefits when traveling with them.
Despite no longer being a member of the
oneworld Alliance
(the carrier was a member between 2000 and 2020), LATAM still offers the opportunity to earn points with oneworld member airlines. LATAM’s partner airlines and their associated benefits include:

Elite benefits depend on the individual’s tier status within LATAM Pass and include earning extra miles on flights, seat selection, cabin upgrades where available, lounge access, and priority boarding.

It makes sense that LATAM has teamed up with both
Delta Air Lines
and Qatar Airways, as both own a 10% stake in the carrier.
Virgin Atlantic
is also a logical inclusion in the airline’s portfolio of partnerships, given that the UK’s second-largest long-haul carrier intends to launch services between London Heathrow (LHR) and São Paulo (GRU) in March 2025. The airline originally wanted to begin the route in March 2020, but its launch has subsequently been postponed several times.

The group has been known as LATAM since 2016, when LAN Chile merged with Brazil’s TAM Linhas Aéreas. Today, LATAM’s primary hubs can be found at Arturo Merino Benitez International Airport (SCL) in Santiago de Chile and Guarulhos International Airport (GRU) in São Paulo. Through its subsidiaries around South America, the carrier also has secondary hubs at numerous airports, including:
- Jorge Chávez International Airport (LIM)
- El Dorado International Airport (BOG)
- Mariscal Sucre International Airport (UIO)
- José Joaquín de Olmedo International Airport (GYE)
- Brasília International Airport (BSB)
- Silvio Pettirossi International Airport (ASU).
Even before 2020, LATAM was facing serious financial difficulties. These were, of course, exacerbated by the events of the pandemic. However, as lockdowns were lifted and travel recovered, LATAM’s financial strength has rebounded, with the forecast for the coming months and years now looking more promising.
