Elon Musk’s primary mode of high-flying travel is his Gulfstream G650ER, a state-of-the-art private jet known for its speed, long-range capabilities, and luxurious amenities. The G650ER can fly up to 7,500 nautical miles without refueling, allowing Musk to travel non-stop between major global cities like Los Angeles and Shanghai or New York and Dubai.

The G650ER is equipped with Gulfstream’s Enhanced Flight Vision System (EFVS) and is certified for steep approaches. The aircraft holds the record for the farthest and fastest flight in business aviation history. The aircraft employs a unique pressurization system, which offers the lowest pressurized cabin altitude of any business aircraft, twice as low as commercial airlines, and thus healthier and more comfortable for longer flights.

In addition to the G650ER, Musk’s fleet includes two Gulfstream G550s and a Dassault Falcon 900B. Recently, he added the Gulfstream G700 to his collection. Will a G800 be next?

The G700, priced at around $78 million, features the most expansive cabin in the industry, with up to five cabin areas, a master bedroom with an ensuite bathroom, and large windows that provide abundant natural light. This extensive travel was necessary for overseeing various projects, from Tesla’s electric cars in California to SpaceX’s rockets in Florida. The G650ER flagship jet was famously tracked by an Orlando, FL student, Jack Sweeney, who regularly tweeted the airborne movements of the world’s richest man. Musk listed his aircraft on the FAA Limited Aircraft Data Displayed (LADD) program, which enables owners to mask their movements through concealed identity codes. It didn’t work, and thanks to Jack Sweeney, everyone knows where Elon Musk, or at least his jet, is, although there is a day’s delay in the information.
