Qatar Executive is the business jet subsidiary of Qatar Airways and is based at Doha’s Hamad International Airport. The company was launched on June 16, 2009, and offers on-demand private aircraft charters, aircraft management, maintenance and a fixed base operator (FBO). Introduction to the Qatar Executive fleet
They have a fleet of 19 aircraft in total, although this is being bolstered by the introduction of the Gulfstream G700 with two being delivered in May this year and another seven to be added later this year if all goes to plan. They have two Airbus Corporate Jet (ACJ) 319 and two Bombardier Global 5000 along with 15 Gulfstream G650ER. They previously operated some Bombardier Challenger 605s but retired them in October 2021.

A bit more about the company
Qatar Executive’s Group CEO is Badr Mohammed Al-Meer, who took over Qatar Airways on November 5, 2023, from the longtime CEO, Akbar Al Bakar. Other subsidiaries of the Qatar Airways Group include Qatar Duty Free, Qatar Airways Cargo, Al Maha Services, Qatar Aviation Services, and Qatar Aircraft catering.

The fleet
The fleet operates on a floating base concept, with aircraft available worldwide. There are minimal limitations on where the aircraft can land and where passengers can travel.
The Gulfstream G650
The Gulfstream G650ER makes up much of the fleet and it’s clear that Gulfstream is their preferred aircraft manufacturer. The G650ER was the fastest ultra-long-range business jet in the world until the G700 was introduced. It is a coveted aircraft used by its elite discerning travelers and has cabin soace for 13 passengers, two lavatories and large galey.. The Bombardier Global 5000
The Global 5000 is a very popular and versatile aircraft with impressive speed and performance and a superior spacious cabin. The aircraft offers short-field performance and has a transcontinental range, making almost anywhere accessible. The cabin is comfortable yet suited for business needs too, with areas for sleeping, dining and working. There is a spacious galley and two lavatories and an ample walk-in baggage compartment.

The ACJ319
The ACJ319 is a corporate jet adapted from the commercial Airbus 319. It can seat up to 19 VIP passengers in exceptional comfort. There is a private bedroom with en-suite facilities, areas for dining and entertainment, as well as business-class seating and areas for working. There are three lavatories, a reception area or seating for staff and a small galley. It is perfect for families or larger groups and is very spacious.

The Gulfstream G700
The G700 has five living areas, including a bedroom with an ensuite as well as a dining or conference area and an ultra galley. The bespoke cabin is designed to the highest standards, encompassing natural light, a 100% fresh air system, a whisper quiet cabin and lower cabin pressure, making for a more comfortable journey. The G700 during flight testing set more than 50 speed records for city pairs and has the latest Gulfstream Symmetry avionics suite with side stick control.

Onboard experience
The ultra-modern fleet of aircraft uses the most advanced business jets, with the latest technology. The sophisticated service offered will no doubt exceed expectations. Future fleet
Qatar Executive ordered 10 G700 back in 2019 and is the launch customer for the Gulfstream G700. In May 2024, the company welcomed the world’s first G700 to Doha. It is the first international operator of the G700 for private jet charter. There is no doubt that they believe this is the future of private jet travel. Two aircraft have already been delivered and more are arriving shortly. The $75 million aircraft is the highlight of the fleet and is already attracting potential customers wanting to try out the highest-performing aircraft in business aviation, so far.
