Austrian Airlines and the Schönbrunn Group are cooperating on the naming of the Dreamliner OE LPM in Austrian Airlines livery, thus launching the new naming concept “Highlights of Vienna”.  

The Boeing 787-9 now bears the name “Schönbrunn Palace” on its fuselage and thus flies the  Austrian attraction out into the world. With over three million visitors a year, Schönbrunn Palace is  Austria’s most visited attraction. Schönbrunn Palace and numerous other Viennese sights are an  important reason for many tourists to travel to Vienna. The Schönbrunn Group and Austrian Airlines  can already look back on a long-standing partnership on various projects and are now setting another  milestone in their collaboration with the naming of the OE-LPM.

Michael Trestl, Chief Commercial Officer of Austrian Airlines, is enthusiastic about the cooperation: “With the Schönbrunn Group, we have a partner that fits perfectly with our brand and our positioning  as Austria’s national carrier. It is a great start to our new naming concept. We are delighted to carry  a piece of Austrian history into the world with the OE-LPM ‘Schönbrunn Palace’.”

Klaus Panholzer, CEO/Managing Director of the Schönbrunn Group, is also very pleased about the  meaningful cooperation: “The Schönbrunn Group is delighted about the cooperation with Austrian  Airlines. “Highlights of Vienna” to fly around the world with the new Dreamliners

After the OE-LPM, the future Boeing 787-9s will also be named after local sights in order to  emphasize Austrian Airlines’ close connection with Austrian tourism and the charm of Vienna’s  attractions. Austrian Airlines flies to more than 125 destinations worldwide, bringing tourists from all  over the world closer to Austria’s charm and tourist treasures.

Michael Trestl, CCO Austrian Airlines, summarizes: “There are many world-famous sights in Vienna  that are ideal for flying around the world together with our brand and further strengthening our  Austrian identity.
