Flynas, a budget airline from Saudi Arabia, reported a sharp rise in its passenger numbers for the first half of 2024. More than 7 million travelers used the airline, marking a 47% increase compared to the same period in 2023. Additionally, seat capacity saw a 37% rise on both domestic and international routes.
Bander Almohanna, Flynas’ CEO and managing director, attributed this growth to the company’s strategic plans, stating, “Our record performance during the first half of 2024 is driven by our strategic growth plans as we continue to upgrade our fleet, increase capacity, and expand our global network.”
Flynas, which operates over 1,800 weekly flights to more than 70 destinations globally, has transported over 78 million passengers since its inception in 2007. In the past 18 months, the airline has boosted its fleet with 25 new A320neo aircraft, bringing the total number of aircraft to 60.
