United Airlines will resume New Jersey-Port-of-Spain service after years away. According to Guardian Media, the Chicago-based airline would offer a seasonal nonstop service from Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) to Piarco International Airport (POS) from December 19, 2024 to January 6, 2025. Daily, UA 1904 leaves EWR at 7:00 pm and arrives in POS around 1:05 am.
After leaving POS at 2:20 am, UA 1905 returns to New Jersey at 6:55 am. United will fly the route with Boeing 737 MAX 8s.
Minister of Tourism, Culture, and the Arts Randall Mitchell tells Guardian Media, “United Airlines resuming service from Port of Spain to North America, albeit seasonally, is indeed welcoming news as it will add much-needed airlift and seat capacity during the busy Christmas season. We look forward to discussing 2025 Port of Spain frequency with United.
United Airlines provides daily nonstop service to Houston, Texas. This is the first time the airline will fly between Port-of-Spain and Newark since T&T closed its borders because to COVID-19.
