JSX is one of the fastest-growing air carriers in the United States. The Dallas, Texas-based company identifies as a semi-private air carrier, which means it offers point-to-point flights on private jets, but also as a scheduled service. JSX is able to operate this way due to also operating a subsidiary company.
JSX itself operates as a public charter operator and does not directly operate its aircraft. The main company charters an aircraft from one of its subsidiary companies, schedules the flight, then sells each seat on the aircraft to the general public. Since this is technically a chartered flight, passengers can depart from private terminals or fixed-based operators (FBOs), which also requires less stringent Transportation Security Administration (TSA) screening requirements.

About JSX
The company was founded as JetSuiteX in April 2016 by its current Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Alex Wilcox. The company was founded on the basis of reinventing the way to fly, and also making it easier for passengers to fly on luxury services. At the time of its founding, Wilcox realized that short-haul flights throughout the US were increasing in price. He attributed the decreasing demand due to the long waits in airports, and vowed to make the process easier by flying out of private terminals and FBOs.

Today, the company has been rebranded as JSX. The company has slowly expanded throughout the US, due to the positive passenger experience it created. JSX offers seats on its Embraer ERJ aircraft, each of which has thirty seats.
These seats are spread out, which allows for an increase of legroom in each seat. The air carrier offers full flight attendant service, free Starlink WiFi, and complimentary food and drinks. Passengers can also fly directly out of FBOs and private terminals, which means they can hop on their aircraft within 20 minutes of arriving at the airport.
