United Airlines

will switch up its equipment on flights between its hub at Denver International Airport (DEN) and Orlando International Airport (MCO) in the next few months. Beginning this winter, the airline will deploy the Airbus A321neo on the route for the first time, while the Boeing 777-200ER will make appearances between the two destinations for a limited time early next year.

United typically uses Boeing narrowbodies on the route, but the 777-200ER will significantly boost the number of seats offered. Additionally, the addition of A321neo flights will make the first time the carrier has operated an Airbus narrowbody on the route since late last year.

For the first time: A321neo

According to aviation data and analytics provider Cirium, United will start flying the A321neo between DEN and MCO on December 3rd. The aircraft will operate as UA425 to MCO and UA1801 to DEN.

United has three interior versions of its 777-200s. One is equipped with United Polaris Business, while the other two feature United First. Nonetheless, the non-Polaris versions still have lie-flat seats, but accommodate more passengers. They will be the versions used between DEN and MCO, offering a total of 364 seats per flight. The only difference between the non-Polaris versions is the allocation of United First and United Economy Plus seats. One version has 28 first class seats and 102 economy plus seats, while the version’s first class has 32 seats and 124 economy plus seats.
