Qantas has announced its intention to launch a new Transpacific route between Melbourne and Honolulu flights from 2025. The 5,405 miles (8,806km) route will be operated by the carrier’s fleet of Airbus A330 twinjets and will operate three times per week from early May 2025. All flights are subject to regulatory approval according to the airline.   

The addition of the new direct route between Melbourne in the state of Victoria, Australia, and Honolulu, the state capital of Hawaii went on sale on September 3, 2024. According to the airline. the new service will boost capacity between Australia and Hawaii by adding more than 40,000 seats per year.  

Qantas’ new Melbourne to Honolulu A330 flights are due to operate every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday from early May 2025. Flight QF105 will depart Melbourne at 17:05 and arrive in Honolulu at 07:40 while the return westbound flight QF106 will leave Honolulu at 09:40 to reach Melbourne at 17:15.
