Etihad Airways will launch two nonstop routes to Warsaw, Poland, and Prague, Czechia, commencing in summer 2025.
In a press release, published on September 6, 2024, the carrier said that this marks the first time the airline will be directly flying to both countries. According to Etihad, the expansion highlights the airline’s ongoing efforts to “diversify its European network”.
Starting from June 2, 2025, Etihad will launch flights between Abu Dhabi (AUH) and Warsaw (WAW). From the same date the airline will also start flying to Prague (PRG). Both services will be operated four times a week using Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft.
“We are proud to introduce Warsaw and Prague as our newest destinations, reflecting our commitment to expanding into new and exciting markets,” Antonoaldo Neves, Chief Executive Officer of Etihad Airways, said.
“These routes not only enrich our network but also offer a great opportunity to strengthen ties with these countries and attract more visitors to Abu Dhabi. We see this as a key part of our growth strategy, helping to drive tourism and support the UAE’s vision for the future.”
Both Poland and Czechia have been growing sources of visitors to the United Arab Emirates. The introduction of direct flights to Warsaw and Prague is set to “enhance travel options”, the press release continued.
The new services are scheduled to connect destinations across the Middle East, Asia, the Indian Subcontinent, and Australia. Currently the carrier serves over 70 destinations across Asia, Australia, Europe, the Middle East and North America.
