This change is part of the airport’s £1.3 billion transformation programme that is due to be finished in 2025.
During October and November 2024, 11 airlines will make the move to Terminal 2 and more are expected to follow next year.
The airport has assured passengers that it is keeping them up to date to help them plan ahead or make any changes to car park or lounge bookings if they need to.

The transformation will see Terminal 2 double in size and when it is fully completed, it will be the airport’s main terminal, serving 70% of passengers.

Manchester Airport said that in a small number of cases, there will be passengers arriving at a different terminal than they departed from.
Terminal 2 is around a 15 to 20-minute walk from the car parks serving Terminals 1 and 3 and it says there is clear signage.
Other airlines will also be moving from Terminals 1 and 3 to Terminal 2 at later dates. Those airlines will be in touch with affected passengers where necessary.
