Aerocardal (a Chilean-based Fixed-Base Operations located at SCL, Arturo Merino Benitez airport of Santiago, Chile), will replace its current fleet of three Dornier 228s with OMNIPOL LET 410NGs.

The acquisition of these aircraft are part of an agreement with OMNIPOL from the Czech Republic, that made Aerocardal as the representative of all of the European company’s products in Latin America.

The first example is to be delivered in October, and the remaining two in the next year.

Aerocardal flies three Dornier 228s: a Do228-100 registered CC-CWX (msn 7027, built in 1984) in March 1992, and two Do228-202s: CC-CWK (msn 8162) and CC-AAQ (msn 8119), mostly on behalf of the mining industry (Minera Los Pelambres).

The only other Chilean operator of LET 410s is Aerocord from Puerto Montt, with three LET410UVP-E flying from La Paloma/Marcel Marchant Binder airfield.
