The airline is part of the Jet2 plc group, which also includes Jet2holidays, a package holiday provider.

Jet2 launches six new flights from major UK airport

Headquartered in Leeds, Jet2.com is one of the largest airlines in the UK in terms of passengers carried.

Its fleet consists primarily of Boeing 737 and 757 aircraft, focusing on single-aisle jets for short to medium-haul flights.

The airline flies to more than 70 destinations, particularly popular holiday spots across Europe, including Spain, Greece, Turkey, Italy, and the Canary Islands.

As a low-cost airline, Jet2.com offers no-frills service, with options to pay for extras such as checked baggage, seat selection, and onboard food.

The airline is known for its focus on customer service, which sets it apart from some other budget carriers.

The cost of an average return ticket on Jet2.com can vary widely depending on several factors.

Usually, an average low season ticket might cost you between £70 to £150.

But prices can go up to £300 or more during the summer months and peak holiday seasons.

The UK’s ‘best’ airport

LAST year, consumer watchdog Which? named Liverpool John Lennon Airport as the best in the country.

Factors like seating, staff, toilets, queues at check-in, bag drop, passport control and security were all rated in the research.

The airport earned an 81% customer satisfaction score, ranking highly for its efficient services, especially in areas like check-in, security queues, and staff friendliness.

The relatively short wait times at security—averaging just 11 minutes—were a highlight, making it particularly popular among travellers for its hassle-free experience.

This recognition isn’t new for the airport; it also held the top spot in previous years.

It continues to stand out due to its emphasis on being “Faster, Easier, Friendlier,” a mantra embraced by the staff, contributing to high marks in customer service and overall efficiency.

Liverpool’s success contrasts with larger airports, like Manchester, which ranked among the worst, reinforcing the trend that smaller airports tend to deliver better customer experiences.
