Europe MROE_2023_728x90_Desktop_A1BBN Airlines Indonesia has received foreign operator permit (FOP) from the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS). The new permit is the second of the type earned this year, enabling the airline to increase capacity its growing network of interconnectivity and growth in the Asian market.

The FOP from Singapore follows the addition of three passenger Boeing 737-800s and one Boeing 737-400F cargo aircraft that joined the airline last November. The BBN Airlines Indonesia fleet currently consists of six 737s in total.

“This permit reflects demonstrated excellence in meeting detailed aspects of stringent international aviation safety regulations, further adding to the credibility of the airline as we expand,” Martynas Grigas, Chairman at BBN Airlines Indonesia, said. “This permit is an increase of credibility and capability that empowers us deliver advantages of ACMI, such as flexibility, cost efficiency, to more customers in Singapore and the surrounding regions as we continue the airlines growth in the Asian market with ACMI.”

BBN Airlines Indonesia recently also announced the issuance of a Foreign Air Transport Air Operators Certificate (FATAOC) from the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) of Australia. Since its launch as a cargo airline in 2022, the airline has gained approval for passenger flights and is targeting a total operational fleet of 40 aircraft by 2027.

BBN Airlines Indonesia is a subsidiary of Avia Solutions Group, the world’s largest ACMI provider, operating a fleet of 214 passenger and cargo aircraft worldwide. The group also provides various aviation services such as MRO, pilots and crew training, ground handling, and other interconnected solutions.
