Maybe you’ve heard about them. The beaches. The endless, spectacular, enchanting beaches in the twin-island destination of Antigua and Barbuda. Well, there are actually 365 of them — or, as any local will tell you, there’s a beach for every day of the year.
These beaches are part of the reason why Antigua and Barbuda has been one of the top places to visit in the Caribbean in the last few years, with sizzling tourism numbers and surging demand.
And that means more flights, too — with American Airlines set to expand one of its important connections to Antigua in a few months.
Beginning Dec. 5, American Airlines will be expanding its Charlotte flights to daily nonstop service, Caribbean Journal has confirmed.
It’s a significant ramp-up for an increasingly important source market for travel both to Antigua and the wider Caribbean.
So what does the flight cost? Round-trip flights to Antigua start at around $618, according to American’s web site.
