Emirates has revealed a special menu for the famous German folk festival, Oktoberfest. Between September 21 and October 6, the Dubai-based carrier will showcase traditional Bavarian cuisine and beloved German entertainment onboard its flights to and from German cities as well as in German airport lounges.
Passengers can experience the vibrant spirit of Oktoberfest with Emirates
when flying to and from Munich, Hamburg, Düsseldorf, and Frankfurt. Travelers can enjoy a Bavarian starter, main course, and dessert for both lunch and dinner, regardless of the cabin they are flying in. Bistro bites will be available onboard the Airbus A380
lounge, while classic Oktoberfest dishes will be served in the airport lounges.
Business and first class menu
On flights from Dubai to Germany, business and first class passengers will be served appetizers of potato leek soup with herb oil, beef consommé with meatballs, carrot, and mushroom, as well as an asparagus salad with sliced cured beef, cauliflower purée, poached quail eggs, and herb oil dressing.

For the main, Emirates will offer roasted beef fillet served with jus, braised red cabbage, and bread dumplings, accompanied by classic Kaiser roll, Austrian roll, or garlic bread swirls. The airline will also serve delectable desserts, including Kaiserchmarren-sliced sweet pancakes with plum compote and cinnamon crème anglaise for first class and apple cake served with crème anglaise for business class passengers.
On the return flights, premium travelers will have a choice of roasted pumpkin soup with toasted pumpkin seeds or a charcuterie and cheese plate of sliced smoked turkey, beef salami, Obatzda, Emmental, cream cheese, hard-boiled egg, radish, and cornichons.
The airline will serve braised veal shank with jus, mashed potatoes with celeriac, roasted root vegetables, and red cabbage for the main. Business and first class passengers can also enjoy apple strudel served with crème anglaise and berries for dessert.
When flying from Dubai to Germany, economy class passengers will be served turkey lyoner cheese salad as an appetizer, paprika chicken in jus with sautéed potatoes and saurkraut for the main, and honey and almond cake for dessert.

On the return flights, passengers can enjoy an appetizer of German potato salad with cherry tomato and parsley and a main of baked chicken with paprika cream, broccoli, and potatoes. Before landing, all passengers will receive parting gifts of individually wrapped gingerbread hearts with Oktoberfest decorations.
Lounge food and IFE
Across the Munich, Frankfurt, and Düsseldorf airport lounges, guests can enjoy a variety of dishes, including Käsepätzle – the German version of mac and cheese. It is made with egg noodles, roasted onions, and Emmental. Onboard the A380 lounge,
accessible to business and first class passengers
, bite-size Oktoberfest sandwiches and pretzels – the ultimate German savory snack will be available. Emirates will also offer complimentary pastries, including Oktoberfest gingerbread cookies, black forest and plum cake, and German-style cheesecake with mascarpone quenelle.

Emirates’ In-Flight Entertainment (IFE)
will feature up to 45 German movies, 300+ Hollywood movies dubbed in German, and 13 classic Bud Spencer and Terence Hill movies available in German, Italian, and English. There will also be 28 playlists and albums of German music available amidst the huge library of 6,500 channels.
