Emirates
has unveiled its new lounge at London Stansted Airport (STN)
, highlighting that all of the airports that it will serve in the British capital will now have a dedicated lounge for its passengers.
Investing more than $5 million
On September 19, Emirates said that it has opened the doors to its state-of-the-art lounge at STN, with the carrier investing more than £4 million ($5.2 million) into the new space.
The 900-square-meter (9,687 square feet) lounge will accommodate up to 125 first and business class travelers, Emirates noted. The space will also be available to Emirates Skywards
members.
As a result of the new lounge at STN, the Dubai International Airport (DXB)

“All London airports served by Emirates now provide access to premium on-ground experiences for customers to unwind and enjoy elevated dining experiences ahead of their journeys.”
STN being an important gateway for customers
According to Mohammed Mattar, the Divisional Senior Vice President of Airport Services of Emirates, STN, which the airline has served since 2018, remains a vital gateway for its customers across the southern UK.
“The new lounge is a testament to our brand promise of always flying customers better – in the air and on-ground. And it also marks a major milestone for us as we now proudly offer dedicated lounge facilities across six airports in the UK – underscoring our ongoing commitment to one of the most important markets in our network.”
Mattar concluded that the airline was looking forward to elevating the premium experience to new heights and offering its passengers an opportunity to unwind and dine with Emirates’ signature hospitality at the airport.

The new lounge will be located in Satellite 1, near the departure gates. The space will include furnishings and dedicated seating areas to dine and relax before a flight, with “exceptional” food and beverage selections, free WiFi, and shower facilities.
Gareth Powell, the managing director of STN, added that the opening of the new lounge was fantastic news for the airport and travelers flying with Emirates to DXB and beyond.
“Offering an experience of luxury and comfort for the airline’s First and Business Class customers, its location in Satellite 1 boasts excellent views over the airport and allows boarding access to the aircraft directly from the lounge.”
