Terence “Bud” Crawford‘s recent European trip went from excitement to frustration in a matter of days. The boxer initially traveled to the UK to attend the highly anticipated Anthony Joshua vs. Daniel Dubois fight and his interactions with British fans quickly caught the internet’s attention.
However, what started as a thrilling visit to the boxing event turned into a travel disaster that overshadowed his experience. Crawford‘s flight issues began on his way back home and it only got worse from there.
The new light middleweight champion shared his frustration on social media, recounting a stressful series of events involving a missed flight, lost luggage and the theft of high-end purchases.
The boxer took to Twitter to vent his grievances with British Airways, stating that the airline’s mishandling caused him to miss his original flight.
Unfortunately, this wasn’t the end of his troubles-Crawford’s checked bags, filled with luxury goods, were nowhere to be found. Among the missing items were products from a Louis Vuitton store, and Crawford noted that the value of the stolen goods was substantial.
Even more upsetting for Crawford was that some of the missing items included clothing for his children, adding a personal loss to the financial hit.
A frustrated Crawford
He shared that despite all the effort and expense of the trip, he was left with just one pair of pants and two shirts by the time he reached his destination. In a follow-up post, he emphasized his disappointment and called for a swift resolution, expressing that this was far from the birthday he had hoped to have.
Crawford later clarified through an Instagram story that his trip had originated in Rome, revealing that the issues began during his European travels.
“@British_Airways / @traveloneworld We have a problem,” Crawford wrote on X.
“Not only did you guys make me miss my flight, but your baggage handlers also stole ALL of my shit that I purchased at the Louis Store in the International Terminal. I need answers asap. I have receipts for all my stuff also. Tens of thousands of dollars of shoes, clothes, accessories, everything stolen right out of my bag. we got a real problem.
“$30K in air travel for the airline to steal my shit man smh @British_Airways.”
