ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) — All Saturday flights at Asheville Regional Airport were canceled around 2 p.m., and airport officials said Delta canceled all morning flights before noon on Sunday, Sept. 29.
Airport officials said the widespread internet and cellular service issues affecting much of the region are also impacting the airport, and said it’s made posting updates difficult.

“We will post on Facebook as often as possible, and we ask for your patience as service is unreliable at this time,” a post read, in part.
Travelers were advised to check with their airline for the status of their flight before arriving at the airport, as officials expect continued disruptions and cancelations for at least the next few days.
“While the airport is open and flights can take off and land, commercial airlines are also experiencing technological issues that are making it difficult to operate,” a post read, in part. “Most flights were cancelled today, and we expect cancellations to continue. Please check with your airline for the most up-to-date information about your flight status BEFORE coming to the airport. Because of internet issues in the region, the airport’s website is not updating regularly at this time.”
