Caribbean Airlines (CAL) has announced that the US Transportation Security Administration (TSA) approved the company as a participating airline in the TSA PreCheck® program.

In a media release CAL noted that eligible passengers flying on the airline will be able to have the same expedited airport security screening that is available at more than 200 US airports.

Eligible travelers:

  • US citizens, US nationals and lawful permanent residents may apply or renew TSA PreCheck.
  • Other persons may also check their eligibility by applying for Global Entry, NEXUS or SENTRI, which may include TSA PreCheck® benefits.

According to the airline, enrolling for TSA PreCheck® is easy, and once approved, travelers will receive a unique Known Traveler Number (KTN), that when added to their CAL reservation, makes them eligible to use TSA PreCheck lanes at Airport Security checkpoints throughout the United States.

It said most new enrollees receive a KTN within three to five days, though some applications can take up to 60 days.

Approved passengers may also enter their KTN at any point prior to their travel at CAL’s website during web check-in, CAL call centre or CAL reservation counter.
