New service to Florida

According to Ishrion Aviation on X, Breeze airways
is adding four new Florida routes this winter. One route will launch in December, while the others will launch early next year. Most of the service additions are concentrated in Orlando, but Tampa will also receive one route.

From its headquarters in Utah, Breeze will launch service from Provo Airport to Orlando International Airport (MCO) in December. Other services to Orlando will be operated from Gulfport and Ogdensburg. According to Ishrion, these routes will operate twice weekly starting in early 2025. Additionally, Breeze will begin connecting Erie to Tampa International Airport (TPA), which will operate twice weekly.

Ogdensburg International Airport Manager Charlie Garrelts, said,

“Everybody knows up in the North Country it gets cold in February, and I think it will be a great getaway, or a winter getaway, down in Orlando, Florida.”

Garrelts added that he believes that many passengers going to the airport will be from Canada and use the international bridge.

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer also commented,

“After flying its inaugural flight out of Ogdensburg to DC this past weekend, these new connections to sunny Orlando will help the North Country economy take off even further and provide our families with more destinations to warmer climates during the cold winter months.”

Commenting on the new route from Erie, airport director Derek Martin said,

“The Erie Regional Airport Authority and community are excited about a new destination with low-cost travel options offered by Breeze Airways.” Derek Martin, Executive Director, Erie Regional Airport Authority
