some reports claiming
that the airport is looking to balance the congestion across Terminals 1 and 2.

These Are The Airlines That Fly From Las Vegas Harry Reid International Airport’s Terminal 3
A total of 24 airlines operate passenger flights at Harry Reid International Airport’s Terminal 3.
In this article, we will look at how this airport, which spans an area of 2800 acres (as reported by SkyVector), can be accessed by public transport.
Public transportation across the terminals of Harry Reid Airport
Many people might find it odd that the terminals at Harry Reid Airport are named Terminal 1 and Terminal 3 (despite the airport having only two terminals). Both these terminals have their own check-in, parking garage, passenger facilities, etc.

Terminal 1 is a domestic terminal, while Terminal 3 is a combined domestic and international terminal. Both these terminals have 110 gates in total. For budget-conscious travelers, public transport is the cheapest way to get to Harry Reid Airport.
How can one access public transportation across these terminals?
Terminal 1
Harry Reid Airport (and Las Vegas, in general) doesn’t have a bustling public transportation service. Despite this, the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC) runs bus services that are available at each of the two terminals. A traveler should be mindful that (s)he might need to transfer to a different bus line to get to the Strip.

Here’s a list of the public transport services in Terminal 1:
- Route 108 (offering transportation to and from Paradise)
- Route 109 (offering transportation to and from Maryland Parkway)
- Centennial Express (CX) – UNLV, the Bonneville Transit Center in downtown Las Vegas, and the Centennial Hills Transit Center.
Terminal 3
From Terminal 3, however, the Centennial Express (CX) city bus service is the only available option. According to Welcome Pickups:
“The CX bus takes 30 minutes to make the journey from Las Vegas Airport to the Strip, covering Flamingo Hotel and Las Vegas Boulevard. On weekdays, the bus departs every hour from 06:23 to 22:35. As for weekends and holidays, the CX bus departs every hour from 06:31 to 22:39.”
Where are the public transportation stops located?
The unofficial guide to the LAS airport states that public transport can be accessed at the two terminals we have discussed above:
Terminal 1
If you are looking to access the public bus service in Harry Reid from Terminal 1, you need to find the Ground Zero Terminal. For this, you need to descend one floor and exit the terminal building. After you exit, you can turn right to find the bus stop labeled RTC or Centennial Express.

Terminal 3
In order to access public transport at Terminal 3, you need to get to the departures on level 2. For this, you need to take the elevator or escalator up to level 2 (from the baggage claim). After that, you should exit the terminal building and head across the pedestrian crosswalk. You can find the RTC bus stop across from door 44.
Cost of public transportation to (and from Harry Reid)
While Welcome Pickups reports that a single fare to (and from Harry Reid) costs “$4 (€3.50) or you can purchase a 2-hour pass for $6 (€5)”,
Simple Flying reported
that a one-way ticket on the Centennial Express (CX) city bus cost $2.
Tickets are available from the ticket vending machine at the airport or directly from the driver as you board. There might be a waiting time of approximately an hour.
Las Vegas Airport transfer via bus (shuttle)
Harry Reid Airport’s (bus) shuttle service is run by a company which is simply referred to as The Shuttle. It exists in a subsidiary of Las Vegas Metropolitan Municipality and offers travel to 50 destinations around Las Vegas.
The Shuttle is convenient for any passengers seeking to “move, take off or get into the airport in the most affordable way, with comfort, safety, and good service“. As reported by the airport, the Shuttle offers the following services:

How will ground transportation change after the reconstruction at Harry Reid?
There are reports that suggest that the road network connecting the Harry Reid International Airport will be upgraded after its expansion. The airport’s one-way circular roadway system will remain intact while a flyover bridge is set to be built. This bridge will help connect Terminal 2 and Paradise Road better.

Passengers in the airport might also be able to access public transport (alongside parking facilities for employees and crew as well as ride-sharing facilities such as Uber and Lyft) better with the two multimodal centers that are under consideration:
Reports also stated that with these improvements, the airport is looking to balance carriers across the two terminals by consolidating some airline operations at Terminal 2, thereby alleviating congestion at Terminal 1.
