London Heathrow Airport (LHR) is set to open a brand-new lounge in Terminal 2 in partnership with Airport Dimensions and Swissport. The new No1 Lounge—the second such facility at Heathrow—will open in December and have a seating capacity of 90 passengers.

No1 Lounge to open at Heathrow Terminal 2

The new lounge will be available for all passengers flying out of LHR’s Terminal 2 – known affectionately as “The Queen’s Terminal” – which primarily handles international flights operated by Star Alliance carriers. Rami El-Dahshan, Managing Director of No1 Lounges, commented,

“This lounge represents the culmination of our team’s hard work, designed with a deep understanding of our customers’ needs when flying from this airport. Every aspect of the physical space and customer experience has been thoughtfully curated to ensure that our guests feel welcomed, relaxed and ready for their onward journey.”

The new facility is due to open in December 2024 and will join the existing No1 Lounge at Heathrow’s Terminal 3, while Airport Dimensions also operates the Club Aspire lounge at Terminal 5. Images of the new lounge at Terminal 2 show a smart, quiet space that will offer a getaway from the hustle and bustle of the main terminal.

As with other No1 Lounges, guests can enjoy complimentary food and drinks, a fully tended bar serving up premium beers, wines, sparkling wine and spirits, a separate TV lounge, business workspaces and free WiFi. The seasonal, buffet-style food offerings will feature a variety of hot and cold dishes and lean heavily on premium products of British origin. Errol McGlothan, President of Airport Dimensions, EMEA & APAC, added,

“Heathrow Airport is the largest and busiest airport in the UK and is a key gateway between Europe and the rest of the world. The opening of this fantastic new No1 Lounge at one of the world’s busiest airports marks another significant step on Airport Dimensions’ journey to expand our presence and offer choice to discerning travellers.”

Passengers can get into the lounge by booking in advance via No1Lounges.com, with prices starting at £40 ($52) – additionally, it will be accessible to Priority Pass and Lounge Key cardholders. According to the No1 Lounges website, the T2 lounge will be open from 05:00 to 21:00 daily – under the lounge’s terms, passengers can use the lounge up to three hours before their scheduled departure but have the option to purchase additional hours if needed (and flight delays are covered).

Three new UK lounges in a year

The new No1 Lounge will be the 15th lounge in the series, joining facilities at London Gatwick Airport, London Luton Airport and Birmingham Airport. No1 Lounges are a joint venture between Airport Dimensions and Swissport – these two companies also collaborate on other lounges, including Clubrooms at Birmingham and Gatwick, three Club Aspire lounges at Heathrow and Gatwick, and My Lounge at Gatwick and Luton.
