“We are following all safety and security procedures in coordination with local authorities,” the airline’s spokesperson informed.

This latest wave of threats comes amid a surge of bomb scares this week, with more than 90 flights receiving threats, most of which have been deemed hoaxes.

Amid a series of bomb threats, primarily delivered through social media, the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) convened a meeting with airline representatives on Saturday. The civil aviation ministry is now considering implementing stricter regulations to prevent hoax bomb threats, including adding the perpetrators to the no-fly list.
