Solomon Airlines has introduced a new perk for passengers on its Sunday IE707 flights from Brisbane to Honiara – 40kg checked baggage allowance for all.

This applies to both economy and business class travellers, offering most economy passengers an extra 10kg at no additional cost.

Dubbed the ‘Sunday Shopping’ flight, it’s aimed at those wanting to bring extra items, gifts, or essentials without worrying about extra fees – and according to a recent study, Aussies are becoming enamoured of local souvenirs.

The new allowance is effective immediately, even for tickets issued before the announcement, with the updated allowance applied at check-in.

The initiative aims to make travel more convenient and customer-focused, adding to existing perks like complimentary hot meals and beverages.

It’s also designed to make Sunday flights just that little bit sweeter for everyone.

Solomon Airlines recently launched a sale on fares between Brisbane and Sydney starting at $385 plus taxes.
