Yes…back in the early 2000’s, Hooters did have an airline…and yes…they DID fly in Texas. If you don’t remember this…”unique” airline, don’t be surprised. Today Hooters has locations in over 30 Texas cities but only one of those cities actually saw the unique Hooters planes land & take off in Texas.

The airline based out of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, was a short lived airline that ran from 2003-2006 that mainly had flights along the East Coast, areas like Chicago, Colorado, California & tropical regions.

The flights were mostly know for their bright white & orange painted planes and their very nice looking flight attendants on board…

So where did Hooters Air fly to in Texas?

While most of the information you’ll find about Hooters Air consists their flights in South Carolina & Florida (even websites online that DON’T show Texas on their flight maps), thanks to some very dedicated plane spotters, we DO KNOW they went to at least one airport in Texas: the George Bush International Airport located in Houston, Texas.

There’s not many photos of the planes that stopped in Texas but there are two at least; both planes sporting that same paint scheme as the rest of Hooters Air fleet.

There was even another Hooters in Harlingen, Texas that joked about the return of Hooters Air on April 1st of this year that was supposed to return in September (obviously that didn’t happen). So it’s clear they definitely remember this (and perhaps they want its return too).

It’s very unlikely that Hooters Air WOULD return but if they did, it seems like the state would be eager and ready to have the planes back in the Texas skies
