If You Travel Often You Might Have a Series of Traveling Pet Peeves.

I travel often and one thing that I will always try to do is fly out of Shreveport, I love saving a 3-hour car ride to DFW. I have a list of triggers from fellow passengers. People who forget their earphones and watch videos at full blast, people who hover at the ticket counter trying to secure an upgrade, and who can forge the people who jump groups. Normally you have about 7 groups that board in order. There will always be those in the last couple of groups who think they should board first.

American Airlines Wants to Put an End to Group Jumpers.

Washington Post called these group skippers “gate lice,” which seems harsh until you start dealing with these people. If you pay for priority boarding, you probably are okay with the term “gate lice.” How will American Airlines put an end to people skipping groups? By shaming them, of course.

American Airlines has been testing its new system that has been flagging when people try to jump in another group. How it works is an alert pops up when the boarding pass is scanned, the agent will recognize the alert and asks the passenger to step aside and wait their turn. According to the Washington Post, American Airlines is more than pleased with this new program, our only question is when will other airlines follow suit?
