SriLankan Airlines launches a new daytime flight between Bengaluru and Colombo, increasing weekly services to 10. Ideal for short weekend getaways and business travel.

Bengaluru: SriLankan Airlines announced on Friday that it will be launching a new daytime flight between Bengaluru and Colombo starting October 31, increasing the total weekly services between the two cities to 10.

The new flight timings are well-suited for both Indian holidaymakers and business travellers attending events in Sri Lanka for short weekend getaways, the airline said.

Flight UL 1174 is set to depart from Bengaluru for Colombo at 09.40 am every Thursday, Friday and Saturday, arriving in Colombo at 11.10 am. The return flight, UL 1173, will depart from Colombo at 07.20 am, reaching Bengaluru at 08.40 am on the same days.

In addition to these new services, the airline will continue to operate its existing daily flight between Bengaluru and Colombo.

SriLankan Airlines added that India is the only country with nine cities in its network: Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Kochi, Thiruvananthapuram, Chennai, Trichy, Madurai and Bengaluru.

In total, the airline operates close to 90 flights weekly between India and Sri Lanka.
