Airline launches new route

Pacific Coastal Airlines has launched its new nonstop service connecting Kelowna and Prince George.

The inaugural flight took off on Monday evening.

The new service will operate six times a week, from Sunday to Friday, using a Beechcraft 1900 aircraft.

To commemorate the launch, Pacific Coastal Airlines hosted a celebration at Kelowna International Airport that featured a ribbon-cutting ceremony, speeches, and branded gifts for passengers.

“This is our third new route announcement out of Kelowna in the last twelve months. The expansion supports our growth strategy and complements our existing flights to Victoria, Nanaimo, and Comox,” said Berkan Kucukkatipoglu, director of commercial planning at Pacific Coastal Airlines.

“It is crucial for us to have airlines like Pacific Coastal dedicated to expanding regional air service throughout British Columbia. The launch of this nonstop service is a testament to our shared vision of enhancing connectivity and supporting economic growth in our region,” said YLW CEO Sam Samaddar.
