SriLankan Airlines flights operating between Melbourne and Colombo continued to suffer delays, with the latest reported on Saturday.

A number of passengers were irate as a SriLankan Airlines flight from Colombo to Melbourne was delayed by over 7 hours on Saturday, 02 November.

SriLankan Airlines flight UL 604 showed a 7hr and 40 min delay in its departure time from Colombo on Saturday, 02 November on Flightstats.com

The airline had informed most of its passengers about the delay in advance.

However, some passengers told Colombo Gazette that neither the airline nor their travel agent had informed them about the delay.

SriLankan Airlines flights operating between Melbourne and Colombo have been facing issues over the past several months.

The issues includes delays caused by a shortage of pilots as well as technical issues. (Colombo Gazette)
