Philippine Airlines (PAL) advised travellers to expect higher passenger volume at Terminal 2 of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) in Manila beginning tomorrow, 5th November.
In a statement issued on 25th October, PAL officials declared: “[We] expect a higher passenger volume at Terminal 2 of Manila’s Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA), when three other airlines transfer their domestic flights from another NAIA terminal to Terminal 2.”
This is part of an ongoing terminal rehabilitation and reshuffling initiative of the new NAIA airport management.
The airline was quick to advise that there is no change to its assignments at NAIA. All PAL domestic flights still depart from and arrive at NAIA Terminal 2; while all PAL international flights depart from and arrive at NAIA Terminal 1.
What passengers can do
In light of the changes, passengers are advised to allot extra time at NAIA. It is recommended that they check-in online and arrive early at the airport so they can have extra time to undergo airport procedures, at least 3 hours prior to departure for domestic flights.
Passengers should also keep tabs on their flight status through the PAL website, and keep an eye and ear out for announcements made at the airport.
Due to a higher number of people, they also need to make sure that their luggage is properly labelled to prevent loss.
