Finnish police believe that an airport worker was probably killed during an Airbus A350 push back at Helsinki Airport (HEL), resulting in the victim being crushed to death.

Although police have not named the airline, it is understood that the Airbus A350-900, registered OH-LWO, is operated by Finnair and landed in Helsinki after arriving from Tokyo Haneda International Airport (HND).

In a statement on November 2, 2024, Itä-Uusimaa police said officers were called to the airport at around 05:00 after receiving emergency reports of a death.
