Satair, an Airbus Services company, and Eastern Airlines Technic, a subsidiary of China Eastern Airlines (CES), have signed a letter of intent (LOI) to explore a potential collaboration focused on optimising material management for CES’s Airbus fleet.
The potential partnership aims to leverage Satair’s expertise in integrated material management services (IMS) to streamline the supply chain and ensure the flow of expendable parts for CES’s fleet of over 450 Airbus aircraft. As the largest Airbus operator in China, CES stands to gain significant benefits from this collaboration.
“We are pleased to partner with China Eastern Airlines, bringing our extensive expertise in material management to one of the largest Airbus operators in the world,” said Andy Lee, Managing Director, China at Satair. “Our IMS solution will not only maximize spare parts availability but also optimize stock levels, helping CES to boost cash flow and improve overall operational performance.”
