Avelo Airlines has added a nonstop service from Rochester to Charlotte/Concord, NC. Starting Nov. 8, the carrier will take off on Mondays and Fridays between Frederick Douglass Greater Rochester International Airport and Charlotte’s Concord-Padgett Regional Airport.
Avelo will be the first and only carrier to offer nonstop service between Rochester and Charlotte/Concord. Boeing Next-Generation 737 aircraft will be used for the route.
The carrier also offers nonstop service to Rochester, North Carolina’s Raleigh-Durham International Airport, South Carolina’s Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport, and Central Florida’s Lakeland International Airport.
Avelo Airlines launches nonstop service from Rochester to Central Florida
Avelo Airlines Founder and CEO Andrew Levy said they are excited to offer customers another affordable and reliable service.
“Using a smaller airport in Charlotte, via Concord, with less crowds and shorter lines means our customers can save time and enjoy the most convenient route yet between Rochester and the Carolinas,” Levy said in a statement.
Monroe County Executive Adam Bello said he appreciates Avelo for providing an additional nonstop service for residents.
“The non-stop Avelo flights to Charlotte-Concord provide a hassle-free trip to the bustling Charlotte area at incredible low fares,” Bello said in a statement. The Concord-Padgett Regional Airport provides excellent access to the area without the need for shuttles, long walks, or waiting in lines for baggage and rental cars.”
