Philippine Airlines (PAL) has partnered with John F. Kennedy International Airport’s (JFK Airport) New Terminal One, offering an improved travel experience for passengers flying between Manila and New York City.
As the first South-east Asian airline to commit to operations at the New Terminal One, PAL will offer thrice-weekly flights between JFK Airport and Manila utilising the Airbus A350-900 aircraft. Currently operating at the existing Terminal 1 at JFK Airport, PAL will transition its operations to the New Terminal One in time for the terminal’s opening in 2026.
Scheduled to open in phases from 2026, the New Terminal One will be the largest terminal at JFK Airport when complete, offering about 241,558m² of space over a footprint that will include the existing Terminal 1 and the former Terminals 2 and 3.
PAL president and COO Stanley Ng said: “This alliance allows us to enhance our service and elevate the travel experience for our passengers travelling between Manila and New York, as well as nearby cities in New Jersey and Connecticut, and throughout the US East Coast and Midwest.”
“Our teams share a strong commitment to customer experience, and we look forward to working together to elevate the curb-to-gate experience for Philippine Airlines customers flying to and from New York,” added Jennifer Aument, CEO of the New Terminal One at JFK Airport.
