Greater Bay Airlines (GBA) announced further expansion with regard to its route network in Mainland China by next month.
The airline is adding a scheduled service to Huangshan in Anhui Province from 4th December 2024.
This new route will operate three times a week every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday between Hong Kong and Huangshan’s Huangshan Tunxi International Airport.
A location known for its natural beauty
Located in southern Anhui Province in East China, Huangshan, also known as the Yellow Mountains, covers an area of 1,200 square kilometres and is famous for its spectacular natural scenery including the peculiarly shaped pines and granite peaks, stunning seas of cloud, hot springs as well as snowscapes.
Watching the fascinating sunrise and sunset is also a highly recommended activity for visitors.
In recognition of its cultural and geological significance, Huangshan was inscribed in the lists of the World Heritage Sites and Global Geoparks by UNESCO in 1990 and 2004 respectively.
According to the statistics released by the People’s Government of Huangshan, the tourist destination reached a record high of 4.57 million visitors in 2023.
