Air Rarotonga has appointed AirlinePros International as its general sales agent (GSA) Down Under to boost the Cook Islands carrier’s sales, marketing and customer service operations in Australia and New Zealand.

The new strategic partnership aims to facilitate greater access to the Cook Islands for advisors and travellers within the Pacific region via more channels, including Amadeus and Sabre.

AirlinePros International also represents the carrier as an Airline Reporting Corporation (ARC) client in the US.

Through this new agreement, AirlinePros will tap into the strong Australian and NZ outbound travel markets, promoting the carrier’s services to the Cook Islands.

Air Rarotonga has connected the main island of Rarotonga to other Cook Islands destinations, such as Aitutaki, since 1978, operating both scheduled passenger services and scenic flights as an integral part of Cook Islands’ tourism.

Founding Partner & Managing Director Ewan Smith said: “This GSA agreement for Australia and New Zealand represents a significant expansion of our existing relationship with AirlinePros International.”

“The new GSA agreement will enable all agents in Australia and New Zealand to access our fares and schedules through more widely available channels, greatly enhancing our reach and ease of booking for travellers in these key markets.”
