ATLANTA (WANF/Gray News) – An “unruly customer” caused a Delta Air Lines flight to be diverted on Wednesday, the airline said.
Delta Flight 83 was headed from Paris to Atlanta when it was diverted to Dublin, Ireland, to remove the passenger.
“Delta has zero tolerance for unruly behavior and will work with law enforcement authorities to that end,” the airline said in a statement. “We apologize to our customers for the delay in their travel.”
The details of what happened are currently unknown.
Ireland’s national police force, An Garda Síochána, said they charged a man in his 30s. He will appear at the Dublin District Court at the Criminal Courts of Justice on Wednesday afternoon.
The police did not detail his exact charges.
The plane continued on its way and is scheduled to land in Atlanta at 3 p.m.
