Proflight Zambia has announced its first interline agreement with a European carrier, partnering with Turkish Airlines to enhance travel options between Southern Africa and Europe. The partnership, set to launch in November 2024, will allow passengers to seamlessly connect between Turkish Airlines’ extensive European network and Proflight’s regional routes in Zambia.

The agreement offers travelers the convenience of booking connecting flights from Johannesburg and Cape Town to Livingstone and Lusaka via Turkish Airlines, which already operates direct flights to Lusaka twice weekly.

“Proflight is excited to partner with Turkish Airlines, a global airline that shares our commitment to connectivity, safety, reliability, and exceptional service,” said Captain Josias Walubita, Director of Flight Operations at Proflight Zambia. “This agreement will simplify travel for passengers from Europe to Zambia, supporting our vision of positioning Zambia as a regional gateway.”

The collaboration is expected to bolster tourism and business travel to Zambia, further integrating the country into global travel networks while strengthening ties between Southern Africa and Europe.
