United receives first of six new Aircastle leased 737-9s

United Airlines has received the first of six brand-new Boeing 737 MAX 9 jets as part of an agreement with US-based lessor Aircastle. 

The first Boeing 737 MAX 9 was delivered from the planemaker’s production facilities in Seattle, Washington with the final five jets expected to arrive this month and into 2025. 

Aircastle confirmed on December 9, 2024, that all six aircraft will be powered by CFM Leap engines and will help expand United Airlines’ fleet of new, fuel-efficient aircraft.
