REDDING, Calif. – Non-stop flights between the Redding Regional Airport and Denver International Airport will officially begin in May of 2025.

The City of Redding and United Airlines have come to an agreement for having daily non-stop flights from the Redding Regional Airport (RDD) to Denver International Airport (DEN). Officials say that the first flight will take place at 12:50 p.m. on Thursday, May 22, 2025.

City officials say that the flight will offer residents and businesses in Redding direct access to one of the largest economic hubs in the United States and connect residents to United Airlines’ extensive global network.

The new service invites travelers from Denver and beyond to come discover Redding’s breathtaking outdoor recreational opportunities, from all of the activities at Shasta Lake to the iconic Lassen Volcanic National Park.

It’s a bridge that connects our community to the world,” said Jack Munns, the mayor of Redding. “Not only will this new route strengthen our economy and support local businesses, but it will also bring new visitors to experience everything that makes Redding special, from our incredible outdoor adventures to our vibrant and growing downtown.”

For businesses in Redding, the direct connection to Denver enhances access to global markets, will help foster new opportunities for economic growth, and will solidify Redding’s position as a growing regional hub for commerce and innovation.

Officials say that Redding is a gateway to the natural wonders of Northern California, offering world-class hiking, fishing, kayaking, and mountain biking. All of these activities can be accessed withing minutes of Redding.

“This flight is a win-win for both residents and visitors,” said Redding City Manager Barry Tippin. “It provides our community with greater connectivity to Denver and the United network while giving travelers a convenient way to experience Redding’s unparalleled outdoor beauty and vibrant urban culture.”

The daily flight schedule is as follows:

Redding Regional Airport (RDD)

  • Departure from Redding (RDD): 12:50 p.m.
  • Arrival in Denver (DEN): 4:12 p.m.

Denver International Airport (DEN)

  • Departure from Denver (DEN): 11:35 a.m.
  • Arrival in Redding (RDD): 1:16 p.m.

Officials say that the new service between Redding and Denver will also bring significant economics benefits to Redding, generating millions of dollars annually through increased tourism, increased business activities, and stimulate job creation.
