NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – A woman was arrested after a fight broke out at the Nashville International Airport during the American Airlines ground stop on Tuesday.

On Christmas Eve, around 8:20 p.m. officers with the Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority Department of Public Safety were dispatched to gate T2 for a fight between two people.

When officers arrived, an American Airlines employee pointed out the parties involved. They said a fight broke out between a man and a woman while staff tried to rebook an entire canceled flight. A report alleges violent physical threats were made at the time.

According to the arrest report, Kasa McCord refused to move when the airline asked her to rebook her flight at the ticket counter and not the gate.

When officers arrived they said she told them to get out of her face.

Police said due to her slurred speech, they arrested her on charges of disorderly conduct and public intoxication. McCord allegedly resisted arrest and the process of transport the entire way, police said.

McCord reportedly told officers she had a drink aboard the aircraft before the flight was canceled and all passengers were offloaded. Police found a recently purchased, opened, and partially empty bottle of vodka in her belongings.

McCord was charged with public intoxication, disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest. She was booked on a bond of $5,000.
