An Azerbaijan Airlines passenger plane crashed in Kazakhstan on December 25, killing 38 people. Among the survivors, a passenger captured heart-wrenching before-and-after moments from inside the plane, which has since gone viral.
The footage shows the passenger praying just before the crash. Other distressing visuals include a bleeding passenger and another attempting to exit the damaged aircraft. Oxygen masks can be seen dangling from the overhead compartments. Despite its widespread circulation, the authenticity of the video remains uncertain.
Sharing the video on Instagram, Daily Mail wrote, “Footage filmed by a passenger shows people praying and some oxygen masks lowered with damage inside the cabin minutes before the plane crashed and broke apart, with at least 38 people confirmed to have died.”

Several users reacted to the video. “The Almighty accepted his prayer, he survived, gave an interview, and moves independently,” a user wrote. “May these souls who passed rest in heavenly peace and the survivors heal with renewed strength in their hearts. Sending love to all,” another user commented.
“I really don’t want to see this. It is horrible.feel sad for the people in the plane. RIP,” a third user wrote.
Kazakhstan’s Deputy Prime Minister Kanat Bozumbaev confirmed that out of the 67 people aboard, 29, including two children, survived the crash and were rescued from the wreckage, with 11 in critical condition. Speaking about the deceased, he said, “The bodies are in poor condition, mostly burnt, all collected. Now they will be in the morgue, and identification will take place.”
The crash has left the world grappling with the tragedy, with many extending prayers and condolences to the victims and their families.
