Charlotte (CLT) – Greensboro (GSO)

120 flights

In January 2025, PSA Airlines will operate 120 flights each way between Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT) and Piedmont Triad International Airport (GSO), all of which will be flown with the Bombardier CRJ900 aircraft.

This is the second-busiest route from Greensboro, with more than 194,000 passengers over the last 12 months. At just 82 miles long, it is also the second-shortest route on this list. American Eagle does not face any direct competition from other carriers on its route between Charlotte and Greensboro.

Cleveland (CLE) – Washington, DC (DCA)

120 flights

In January 2025, PSA Airlines will operate 120 flights in each direction between Cleveland Hopkins International Airport (CLE) and Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA). All flights on this route will be operated by the carrier’s Bombardier CRJ700 aircraft, which can accommodate nine passengers in first class and 56 in economy class.

American Eagle is the only carrier to fly this route, although United Airlines (and its regional subsidiary United Express) connects Cleveland with Washington, DC’s primary international airport – Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD).

Last year, Charlotte was the second-busiest route from Norfolk International Airport, with more than 258,000 passengers, behind services Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL), which saw over 403,000 passengers. 124 flights

PSA Airlines will operate a total of 124 flights on behalf of American Eagle each way between Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT) and Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) in January 2025. At 588 miles in length, this is the longest and only international route to feature in this list.

American Eagle faces direct competition on this route from Air Canada’s regional subsidiary, Air Canada Express. Between both carriers, this is the sixth-busiest international route from Charlotte, with more than 276,000 passengers last year, putting it behind the following:

Delta Air Lines also operates this route, which makes sense, given that Atlanta is the SkyTeam member’s largest hub, with more than 1,000 flights per day and a 72% market share. Last year, the airport was the busiest in the world, with more than 104 million passengers.

145 flights

PSA Airlines will connect Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT) with Pensacola International Airport (PNS) in Florida 145 times in January 2025, making it the carrier’s fourth-busiest route in terms of number of flights.

Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport is the third-busiest airport in South Carolina, behind Charleston International Airport (CHS) and Myrtle Beach International Airport (MYR). The facility is connected to destinations throughout the East Coast, Southeast, and Florida, as well as a seasonal service to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), operated by Breeze Airways with the Airbus A220.

PSA Airlines’ busiest route in terms of number of flights in January 2025 is between Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT) and Myrtle Beach International Airport (MYR). The carrier will operate 184 flights in each direction, all with its Bombardier CRJ900 aircraft.

American Eagle does not face any direct competition on the 156-mile route, which was the busiest from Myrtle Beach last year in terms of passenger numbers (more than 225,000 passengers).
