It’s a new year at DFW Airport, which means several new flights and destinations.

DALLAS — 2025 is here. Which means all those “Coming in 2025” events, restaurants, concerts and the like are either coming soon, or happening already.

That goes for airlines and flights, too.

The Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport over the last year announced several new destinations it’s adding to its deep roster of flights in 2025. Here are the new routes we’ve reported on:

Fiji (December 2024): This was a late add to the 2024 offering of flights out of DFW. Fiji Airways on Dec. 10 launched nonstop flights to Nadi, Fiji, a 6,625-mile route. The flight operates three times a week on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday using Airbus A350-900 XWB aircraft.

Nadi is on the west coast of the South Pacific island. The beach town is known for its hiking trails, marinas and golf courses and is the country’s main transportation hub.

New Haven, Conn. (March 7, 2025):  Avelo Airlines will offer what it calls an exclusive nonstop route to Southern Connecticut’s Tweed-New Haven Airport (HVN), starting March 7.

The route will operate twice a week, on Fridays and Mondays, according to an announcement from Avelo on Monday. The service will use a Boeing Next-Generation 737 aircraft.

The Tweed-New Haven Airport is located just off the southern coast of Connecticut, near New Haven, which is the home of Yale University. The airport is about 40 miles from Hartford, Conn., and 80 miles from Manhattan.

DFW Airport currently only offers Connecticut service to Hartford.

Avelo is taking flight reservations for the DFW service on its website.

Hong Kong (April 24, 2025): Cathay Pacific, a Hong Kong-headquartered airline, will launch nonstop service from DFW to Hong Kong International Airport, starting April 24, 2025, according to a news release from DFW Airport. The service will offer the first direct flights between DFW and Hong Kong since American canceled service in 2020.

Cathay Pacific will operate four flights per week on an Airbus A350-1000 aircraft. Flights will depart on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, the release said.

Venice, Italy (June 5, 2025): American Airlines is adding service from DFW to Venice in summer 2025 for the first time ever. Service from DFW to Venice will operate daily starting June 5 on a Boeing 787-8. Venice is joining a lineup of nine European destinations accessible from DFW, including Rome, Paris and Dublin.

Taiwan (November 2025): Taiwan-based EVA Air will debut a DFW-to-Taipei route in November 2025. The 7,718-mile route is expected to operate five times per week, EVA Air announced in 2024.

Tampico, Mexico (2025, TBA):  American Airlines passengers will have the option to fly from Dallas-Fort Worth Airport (DFW) to Tampico International Airport (TAM) along Mexico’s Gulf Coast in 2025. Exact dates on the routes have not been announced.
