COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX) — The Buckeyes will be headed to the College Football Playoff National Championship game, and fans looking to see them face off against the Fighting Irish have some new ways to get there.
Frontier Airlines added a flight departing from John Glenn International Airport at 6:40 p.m. on January 19, with a return flight out of Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport on January 21 at 7:11 p.m.
“We can’t wait to see a sea of scarlet and gray aboard our aircraft as eager fans head to Atlanta for college football’s biggest game of the year,” Josh Flyr, vice president of network and operations design at Frontier Airlines said in a media release. “We’re thrilled to make it easy and convenient for area sports fans to fly nonstop between ATL and CMH.”
Additionally, Southwest Airlines has added five flights from Columbus to Atlanta on January 19 and six return flights on January 21. Additionally, one flight has been added from Cleveland to Atlanta on January 19 along with two return flights.
Ohio State and Notre Dame square off at the championship game on Monday, January 20. Kickoff is at 7:30 p.m.
